NECK, 'The Heavy Artillery of Irish Music' release Come Out Fighting!, their 3rd Studio album and début recording for Golf Records / Plastic Head, on November 2nd

Having established themselves as a leading force in the Folk-Punk scene with over eight years of furious global gigging (including in excess of 1000 festivals across 3 Continents), 3 international album releases, and their 2006 anti-racism single Everybody's welcome to The Hooley! hitting the UK singles chart, NECK once again set a whole new bench-mark and remain unquestionably at the cutting-edge of Celtic-infused Punk Rock.

The London-based 6-piece juxtapose the swirling abandon of traditional Irish music with the electric energy blast of a full-on Punk band. NECK distill the sound of two other mighty London rebel bands - The Clash & The Pogues into their own, unique London-Irish brew: Psycho-Ceilídh! Whether its swirling instrumentals (Lilting Banshee Jigs); rowdy, raucous drinking songs (Come Out Fighting!); political polemic (Everybody’s Welcome To The Hooley!); witty, observational anthems (Hello Jakey!) or tear-jerking ballads (The Homes of Donegal), NECK cover all bases with passion & pride.

Led from the front by Leeson O'Keeffe - a man with an undeniable pedigree: a former member of Shane MacGowan's Popes, and who hails from the same North London Irish enclave (nicknamed ‘County Holloway’) as Johnny Rotten, NECK’s members are drawn from both Catholic and Protestant communities, demonstrating the all-inclusive, Clash inspired ethos that their lyrics espouse.

Recorded with the legendary Pat Collier (Wonderstuff, Primal Scream, Lars Friedrikson and a founder member of The Vibrators), his skills give NECK a new focused, lean & muscular voice, making 'Come out Fighting!' a musical hay-maker that can stand it's ground & slug it out with the best of 'em! - which should see them take their rightful place amongst their contemporaries. But make no mistake: with this album they prove beyond doubt that - amongst the leaders and followers of Irish-folk influenced punk bands all over the world - with their roots, understanding and command of the music, NECK are most certainly the real deal!
