The Nottingham based post- hardcore heroes are proud to announce that they have signed a one album deal with one of the UK's finest punk/hardcore labels: Golf Records.
The album is tentatively titled 'Phenomenology' and is set for a summer 2004 release and will be produced by Cameron Webb (of Ignite, The Kinison, The Hurt Process, Tenacious D. fame) Commenting on the forthcoming album singer Karl Middleton stated: 'The new songs are simply the next stage in The Blueprint's evolution. There are no radical departures. Expect to hear 10 tight-as-fuck monstrous rock songs'.
The album will be the first release to feature newly recruited bass player Luke Moss (Army of Flying Robots, Buick6, Science Bastard)
"The Blueprint have honed their sound into a furious, yet focused cocktail of post-hardcore dynamics and metallic aggression." Kerrang
"Imagine arc' tan' gent era earthtone9 jamming with At The Drive-In with a hefty slab of off-kilter pop groove and that's the elements of The Blueprint." Rocksound
Featuring former members of earthtone9, Pitchshifter and Consumed, The Blueprint has a serious pedigree behind them. Striding beyond their combined pasts, the Nottingham based quintet is a potent blend of angular discord and brutal intensity with a strong melodic underpinning, highly focussed to create organic, blistering emotive and intelligent rock music. As guitarist Matt Grundy says, "People can expect something different from The Blueprint. There is definitely an effort to make something that we didn't have in our previous bands, an effort to do something new, something fresh." |
